in the hospital in Luf-
kin. Also Ed and Essie
Collier were back after
being away for several
Sundays. Good to see
Nancy (Mathews) Scales
and chtldren Hatt, frey
and Linsey from wood-
ville and Pauline
(Crump) Kuta from Con-
roe. and Danny Fred-
erick from Lufkin, and
our neighbor, Louise
Duke and children,April
and Shane. Always good
to have people come our
way.
The Blair Garden Club
held their regular
monthly meeting with a
“pot luck“ supper in
the Fellowship Hall,
Tuesday night and in-
vited their husbands.
There were 20 present
and everyone enjoyed
the supper and fellow-
ship together. The
hostesses were: Eliza-
beth Bearden. Effie
Crump and Essie Col-
lier. Others attending
were: Jewel Baker, Ruth
Powers, Ruth Collins,
Lona Oillen and her
sister. Bertha Reynolds
from New Caney, Eliza-
beth Broussard, Joe and
Hazel Dillon.Zannie and
Helen Brittain. Curtis
and Dorothy Brunson,
Carl and Burlene Ander-
son, Charles and Fran-
ces Hammer and Charles
and Doris Askins. Essie
Collier was not able
to be with us that
night due to the death
of Sally McDonald, her
sister-in-law at La-
Marque.
The reunion of the Wil-
liam and Molsie Grif-
fin family was well at-
tended. Saturday. June
8, at our Fellowship
Hall. Approximately 50
members were there and
they reported a real
good time of visita-
tion. fellowship and
food. All left with the
hope of being back to-
gether in another year.
Our deepest sympathy is
with the family of Hr.
Luther Green,tdto passed
away recently.He is the
brother of Mrs. Hike
Bockwieh.
The father of Robert
Cousins is in the hos-
pital at Nacogdoches.He
and Mrs. Cousins were
here on business and he
had to be admitted to
the hospital. If all
goes well, he plans to
be able to return to
his home in Mexia the
first of this week.
Mrs. Helen Cochran of
Garrison visited with
Savilla Askins recent-
ly. They were neighbors
before the Cochrans
moved to Garrison.
Hr. and Mrs. James Rey-
nolds of New,Caney are
visiting in the home of
her sister Mrs. Lona
Dlllen for several
weeks.
Ed and Essie Collier
are home after spending
awhile at their home in
Zavalla.

Center, spent the night
recently with Willie's
parents,Jiggs and Sibyl
Herndon.
Let's remember in our
prayers: Buster Brown
who Is home from the
hospital in Shreveport.
Larrie Windham who had
to return to the hos-
pital in Nacogdoches,
Mrs. Jessie Cox, who is
home from the hospital
in Nacogdoches and
Jiggs Herndon, who
wasn't feeling too well
this past weekend. We
missed them at church
Sunday, we hope that
each one will be feel-
ing much oetter real
soon.

appreciate it very

ted Jiggs and Sibyl a
while Saturday night.

children last Saturday

Randy Askins celebrat-
ed his 10th birthday
Saturday afternoon by

friends over at his

Lanier, David Brock,
Krister and Becky Cou-
sins along with his
parents and brother
and sisters. Billy arid
Kathy carried the
group to Nacogdoches
to McDonalds Saturday
Night to eat out. Y'
know that is always
lots of fun! They re-
ported a real good
time. Hope you haver
many more happy birth-
days, Randy.
