(Waco) Friday night. Martha
Thiebaud is a cheerleader for
the High School. Richard plays
with the football team and Lin-
da Singleton plays with the
School Band. They all attend-
ed the game.
Mrs. Toleda Yarbrough, Mrs.
Oneta Hair and Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Thiebaud sponsored a
weiner roast at the Proctor
Lake, Saturday night for the
young people of the Church of
Christ in Dublin.
Mrs. Wayne Keith and Wan-
da visited her mother, Mrs.
Myrtle Bays in Stephenville
Friday evening.
Mrs. Wayne Keith and Wan
da accompanied her sister, Mrs
Tom Brown and her nieces,
Mrs. Herbert Brown and Moni-
ca and Mrs. Jolene Jennings
and baby to Love Field in Dal
las last Tuesday. Mrs. Jennings
caught a plane for her home in
Atlanta, Georgia after visiting
several days with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brown and
Jolene.
Ruby Up Keith from Fort
Worth spent the weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Way-
ne Keith and fartftly.
Rev. and Mrs. Bobby Pax-
ton and famiy from Gatesville
were Sunday dinner guests in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
win House. Mrs. Myrtle Bays
from Stephenville also ate with
them.
Visitors at Highland Church
Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Law-
rence Bays, Pat and Cindy from
Lingleville, Hap Kazzard, bro-
ther of Hardy Hazzard, from
California, and Billy Mack Bar-
nes from Deleon.
Mrs. Onie Keith and Atha
Fair, Billie Ruth Thiebaud,
and probably others, visited last
week with Mrs. J. C. (Susie
May) Guest, in the Dublin hos-
pital. Susie had the misfortune
of breaking both bones in her
ankle in a fall.
Sunday dinner guests in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Orval
Fair and boys were La Juan
Fair from Brownwood, Melvin
Mow from Fort Hood, and Mrs.
Julia Thiebaud.
Visiting with the Fair's Sun-
day evening were Mr. and Mrs.
Connie Mack Fair and Pam from
Baird and Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Sikes and Clay from Fort
Worth.
Jimmy Neal Fair played foot-
ball with the Junior Variety
team of the Dublin High School
Thursday night. Several attend-
ed the game.
Mr. and Mrs. Charley Mor-
ris and family from San Ange-
lo ate Sunday dinner with her
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Onie
Keith.
Mrs. Gene Keith and Charles
and Mks. Darylene Hodges and
Roberts from DeLeon visited
with them in the afternoon.
The ladies of the Good Neigh-
bor club enjoyed the program
on “Bulbs" that Mr. Edwin Bou-
cher from Wolfe’s Nursery in
Stephenville brought last Thurs-
day afternoon. He showed a
great variety of bulbs that can
be planted now for spring blo-
oming and answered a number
of questions on a variety of
subjects that were asked him.
Refreshments of a variety of
spreads and crackers, ifritos,
cookies, and soft drinks were
served to the following: Edwin
Boucher, Beulah Jacks, Olene
Mathis, Dendy Cossey, Katie
Keith, Nonna Nell House, Ed*
yth Chaney, Jean Thiebaud,
and the hostess, Alamay Keith,
and Altha Fair. Myth Chaney
and Jean Thiebaud will be the
hostess for the October meet-
ing.
Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Blank-
enship accompanied their da-
ughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donnell
Davis and family from Corayn
to Fort Worth Sunday and spent
the day with their other daugh-
ter and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Tilman George.
Bill Blankenship from Snyder
spend a day or two with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Blan-
kenship and Olan.

We attended the funeral of Mr.
C. J. McConnell in Dublin Sun-
day. He passed away in Dublin
Hospital Saturday. The family
hsa the sympathy of this com-
munity.
The Myers family spent the
weekend in Dallas with relatives.
In George Home
Mrs. Roy George, Jr. and
Ricky from Fort Worth and
Mrs. W. R Wynn and Tina of
Dallas came Friday to visit
with Mrs. Roy George. Her
brother, Mr. E. C. Smith of
Caldwell, Texas and her sis-
ter, Mrs. Lena Mae Kennedy of
Dublin visited with her Sun-
day afternoon. Mr. and Mrs.
Hermon George from DeLeon
visited with her Friday night,
and Mr. and Mks. Herbert Love-
less from DeLeon visited Sat-
urday night. She has had many
other visitors from her neigh-
borhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Julian
and three children of Dallas.
Mr. Walter Moyer of Albuquer-
que, New Mexico were guests
last week end with their part
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Ma-
yer.
Mrs. John Humphries went
to Burleson, Texas last week-
end and on Sunday she and her
daughter Mrs. Ola Almand
went to Bedford where she en-
joyed visiting with her class-
mates she bad not seen in a
long time. She returned home
Monday morning.
Wt are sorry to report that
Mrs. Elmer Clayton and Mr.
Ed Gryder were both in Fort
Worth for major surgery. Last
reports both were doing as well
as could be expected.
Mr. John Humphries visited
his daughter, Mrs. Bea Salyers
at Edna Hill for a few days last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Shill-
ingburg of Dublin visited os
Monday afternoon.
Mrs. M. Ml Logan went to
Huckabay Monday to visit
with her sister, Mrs. Charles
Elstons.
Mrs. Melba Humphries and
her aunt, Its. Claude Johnson
of Dublin and her uncle and aunt
Mr. and Mrs Henry Bristo of .
Fort Worth visited us Friday
afternoon.
Mrs. Jim French of Bant
and daughter m law of Dallas
spent the weekend with us and
we all attended services at the
Church of Christ in Dublin Sun-
day. Mrs. French is wife of my
brother.
Mrs. Preston Saliers
Hill visited us Sunday
Mrs. Gladys
Worth came to
Saturday.
Rev. Loyd Sanders of Dublin
was our dinner guest Tuesday.
