Bosque County Schools Stay
Put In Bi-Annual UIL Realignment
Bv Dav» Andohon
necoso ASSOCIATE EDITOR
CLIFTON — The wait was over when the list
came out in early February Bosque County schools
anxiously awaited Monday, Feb. 4’s, t am announce-
ment by the University Interscholastic League con-
cerning school classifications realignments. None
of the eight districts in the county changed classifi-
cation, thanks to the UIL decisions — Clifton re-
mains Class AA, while the other seven remain Class
A schools. Meridian and Valley Mills continue to play
11-man football, while Crannlls Gap, Iredell, Kop-
perl Morgan, and Walnut Springs keep their 6-man
teams.
While the schools did not experience changes in
their classifications, they did see some district
changes. Clifton moved to Dist 10-AA which heads
west this time rather than east. Joining Crawford
and Clifton in the new district are De Leon. Dublin,
Hamilton, and Hico. Departing from Clifton’s district
are Axteli Blooming Grove, Hubbard, and Italy.
“The first thing I like is that all the schools in that
district have pretty good numbers. We’re not going
to be as pressed for under-level games, having that
deal where all they have is a varsity, or they don’t
have a 7th or 8th grade, no ‘B’ or JV or freshmen.
