Smith,
continued from la
especially for taxpayers
who no longer have chil-
dren in our schools and
may not be informed of
current news and develop-
ments.
I am a long time resident
of Grimes County and cur-
rent resi dent of Anderson. I
am a family man with five
children, two of which at-
tend Anderson-Shiro
schools. My background
includes a Bachelors De-
gree in Science and Organ-
ized Leadership.
I served in the U.S.
Army and am currently in
public service as a State
Trooper. I take pride in
serving with integrity and
honesty, as my driving
force is solely for the
achievement and success
of all students.
I am very passionate
about safety and security of
our district and have imple-
mented the “School Bus
Safety Program,” which al-
lows troopers to ride on our
buses or follow buses dur-
ing their routes. I am also
involved with the “Click It
or Ticket It” program and
“Texting While Driving.”
My expertise of leader-
ship does not stop there. I
believe in servant leader-
ship, which is evident
through the many volun-
teer activities I am cur-
rently involved in and have
been a part of over the
years. I am an active board
member of Anderson-Shiro
Little Dribblers and serve
as a coach; volunteer to
chaperon and provide secu-
rity for school trips, prom,
dances, and sporting
events; and serve as a
Grimes County Little
League coach.
I look forward to serv-
ing as your School Board
member. Your vote and
support is greatly appreci-
ated.
