I
| The Municipal Band is getting
j eady for the entertainment of the
! people during the summer months
j r.d will start the free evening con
rls at the fair grounds park the first
or second week in June. A part of
these concerts may lie staged uptown,
but at the present there is no place
in tiie town district for these concerts
The fair grounds concerts will al-
low the country people to drive in
and along with the town people they
may spread supper in tlie beautiful
park and enjoy the evening to their
hearts’ content.
This will also afford an opportunity
f' r the people to get better acquaint-
with the beauty and magnificence
j of the park which San Saba enjoys.
Those who have traveled much de-
! dare that there is not another natur-
: al park to be found in all the state to
j compare with this park. And the free
camp grounds fitted up with cottages,
J toilets and shower baths, leads them
all. This is a sanitary park and is
approved by the state health depart-
ment.—San Saha News

Llano Folks Should Find the Cause
and Correct It.
Are you worn out? Feel tired, ner-
vous. half sick? Do you have a con
slant backache; sharp twinges of
pain, too, with dizzy spells and an-
noying urinary disorders? Then
there's cause for worry and more
cause to give your weakened kidneys
prompt help. Use Doan's Pills—a
stimulant diuretic to the kidneys.
Llano folks recommend Doan's for
just such troubles.
Mrs. P. B. Walker, Llano, says:
“Kidney treouble came on gradually
until the pains got so bad across the
small of my back, 1 could hardly get
around. I had severe headaches and
at times was nervous. 1 had spells of
dizzines too. I was bothered on ac-
count of the irregularity of my kid-
neys. and mornings 1 felt tired out.
f used Doan 'sPills and they soon
made me feel better in every way.

The daily correspondence of the
Weather Bureau of the United States
Department of Agriculture reveals all
sorts of uses for the Information
about climate and weather conditions.
For example, a man in Canada wanted
to know where he could move so as
to spend his later years In a less un-
even climate. He specified that he
wanted to live where the summer was
not too hot or the winter too cold.
Information was furnished him show-
ing a number of places where the
temperature was likely to meet his
specifications.
Much information is sought in con
nection with insurance. A company
which handles tornado and wind-
storm insurance recently asked to be
supplied with the history of a certain
locality in regard to the occurrence
of severe windstorms or tornadoes
and the probability that this particu-
lar locality would he subject to such
storms.
In another instance the committee
in charge of an annual round-up held
July 4, 1925. was considering insuring
hte day against rain. It was, how-
ever, learned from the Weather Bur-
eau records that no rain fell in that
region on the Fourth of July. So the
committee decided not to spend $300
to insure against rain. The happy se-
quel to this incident was that no rain
disturbed the roundup.
Horticulturists in a certain State
were considering the practicability of
increasing the production of potatoes
of that State. So they wrote to the
elimataloglcal division of the bureau
For data which would enable them
to compare the climate of their region
with that of other important potato-
growing sections.
A business firm manufacturing
boilers wrote for data on the percent-
age of sunshine, of humidity, and the
highest and lowest temperatures in
the various States for a period of 10
years past.. They wanted, if possible,
to determine the heating requirement
throughout the country before launch-
ing their selling campaign.—Freder-
icksburg Standard.
