Alum Baking Powder
“Which are the alum LTing powders;
how can I avoid them unless they are named?”
asks a housekeeper.
Here is one way; take the can o( a low-
priced powder in your hand and read the
ingredient clause upon the back label. The
law requires that if the powder contains alum
that fact must be there stated. If you find
one of the ingredients named alum, or sul-
phate of aluminum, you have found an alum
baking powder.
There is another and a better way. You
don’t have to know the names of the alum
powders. Use Royal Baking Powder only;
that assures you a cream of tartar powder,
and the purest and most healthful baking
powder beyond question.

piles Is to
lish
learned
over thirty-five years ago. Hundreds llfl£
of cases have been cured in this time,
dozens of them in Lampasas and Llano
counties. There Is not a hydrogog ca-
thartic in existence but what aggra-
vates this disease and those who have
been afflicted with piles a few years
will agree with me as to this declara-
tion. I have four methods of removing
the cause and giving relief, either of
which. will cure. I now combine the
whole and make the treatment specif-
ic. If you compiv with directions you
have the surest cure you ever dreamed
of. Relief from pain is immediate,
bleeding stops at once and a^perma-
nent cure follows In a short time. The
cost is about one fifth to one-sixth of
that for a surgical treatment, besides
extirpation by the knife does not per-
manently cure piles and too, my meth
od leaves you in good, health. There
is no examination, no exposure, no
handling and no one is refered to you
after cured, if you make your arrange
meat now among the first ten cases
you get the special price, and the sur-
est treatment.
. .My specialty- Stomach, bowel and
female disease, and diseases of the
circulation and neutrician itoo stout
or too lean.) Dozens cured in Llano.
If you have failed with drugs and find
drugs is not the end of tin law let your
intelligence suggest, try something
else. The reason drugs have failed is
because they do not. free the circula-
tion; they do not put. your machinery
in proper repair, if sentenced to a
slow death by a drug jury suppose you
appeal your case and iry for a new
hearing. Hundreds in Texas, many in
Llano, have appealed and can be seen
many who have taken adjustment con-
tinue in good health for years. Drugs
are not the only nuttons o, lobes coat
Those who fight the battles of drugs
have not given drugless methods a de-
cent trinl. it takes lionr ten days to
two months to cure a chronic case by
drugless methods, but you get cured
instead of worse, and this you cannot j
say for drugs. If yon will take one
thirty-five minutes treatment at my of-!
flee and your intelligence does not tell
you that you are on the right road,
don’t pay for it;. Be as decent with
drugless methods as with drugs and
you will come out ahead. Drugless
methods do not cure In a minute, but j
they do cure when all else fafls, even
Marlin and the big guns at Austin.1
This is no slam on drugs; drugs are
till right when they cure and all wrong
t w nen they mane one worse. 1 don’t |
J want any one to try drugless methods
till they have tried every drug in the
materia medic i, then try with honesty
and without prejudice. When you call
at my office ask to be shown hundreds
of testimonials frort all parts of Tex-
as, many dozens of them from the
very best of Lampasas and Llano peo-
ph .Many of them given up to die
ami still exist in spite. One is not al
ways dead because drugs don’t cure, i
there’s many a slip twixt the cup and ;
the lip. Many have raved their lives j
by uniting drugs at»d every thing else. I
if you treat me half as well as 1 treat j
you and give me one fourth the time!
you do drugs, you w ill present a differ
ent aspect when you are through.
This is no fight on drugs as you are
only advised to try drugless methods
when all kinds of drugs have failed.
No one can cure you against your will.

care to be cured. Every know n drug
