Crowns Beauty Queen
Mourice Turner of Huntsville,
chairman of the State Parks
Board, crowns Mary Ann Ward as
longhorn Cavern’s Silver Anni
versary Queen Miss Ward is a
recent graduate of the University
of Texas and a native of South
Texas. The ceremony took place
June 29 and highlighted the Sil-
ver Anniversary celebration of
Texas Longhorn Cavern near
Burnet. ‘«»»■**
Two hundred guests witnessed
the ceremony and were served a
barbecue luncheon The meal took
place 150 feet underground in the
Cavern’s “64 degree cool” Main
Room.
Guests included civic and coun
ty officials of Burnet, Lampasas,
Marble Falls, Llano and Austin.
Also present were members of
the Texas Legislature and offic
ials of the State Parks Board,
Lowed Colorado River Authority
and the Highland Lakes Develop-
ment Association.

are the parents of a son, born
July 1 in a Fredericksburg hospi-
tal
Richard Rabb was honored with
a party given by his mother, Mrs
Sam Rahb, at the Llano swim-
ming pool last Wednesday in ob-
servance of his birthday.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs
