New State Hospital For Tuberculosis
At Kerrville.
During the last session of theState
Legislature a bill was passed, taking
over the American Legion Hospital
at Kerrville, carrying an appropria
tlonj of $1,5Q0,(XK>.00 to increase its
caj^city to not less then 600 beds.
This Is the same hospital that was
Originally planned and upon which
construction had already been begun
by the Benevolent War Risk Society
of Texas.
The bill provides that persons suf-
fering with tuberculosis who have re-
sided in Texas 'for six months next
preceding U>etr making} application
may be .received at this institution,
andn preference Is given to ex-ser-
vice men. This bill has been signed
