First Birthday celebrated at Cheddar's Restaurant
Ava Marie Grace Williamson, daughter of Nicholas and Sabrina Williamson of Odessa celebrated
her first birthday at Cheddar's Restaurant. She is shown above after she finished her fill of
grilled chicken and a side of favorite steamed veggies. She seems to be saying where's the
cake. Soon thereafter those in attendance sang "Happy Birthday Ava" She received an array
of gifts, several suits, one of which had a "Dawd" according to Ava, sleepers, a birthday bear,
finger puppets, books, and lots of toys. Those in attendance were her parents, siblings Brodie
and Josh, grandparents, Matthew and Jody Marie Williamson of Eunice, New Mexico and great
grandmother, Margie Fowler Williamson of Pecos. A good time was enjoyed by all.

Retail drift is costing your
community millions of dollars
Retail drift is the technical
term researchers use when
dollars generated in a smaller
community are spent in a large
community or nearby city.
A recent major university
study says: "Small town residents
who leave their communities to
shop in big-city mails are
committing a form of economic
suicide." The study concludes
the retail drift is so severe that it
could be the death knell for
some communities.
BETAIL
Shopping at home is the
only way to stop retail drift.
Keeping your dollars at home
helps ke°p your community
strong and economically
healthy.
It's simple logic. Your
hometown businesses provide
the same or equivalent goods
and services at the same or
better prices with less traveling
time and expense.
