PROCLAMATION
To the People of Deport:
In co-operation with the clubs and churches of
Deport and under the leadership of Mrs. J. H. Moore, the
City is-this week sponsoring a general clean-up. Have
cans and rubbish in sacks or boxes placed in front of your
driveway by Thursday noon, April 19, as the truck will
make only one call.
After the clean-up is completed we hope to begin
our regular Mosquito-Malaria control program. This pro-
gram will, as in the past, be under the supervision of
Alderman J. B. Griffin. Anyone who desires employment
in this work should see Mr. Griffin.
I have been assured by L. J. Trotter, assistant dir-
ector of malaria control in war areas, that Deport will be
taken care of when the use of DDT begins in this area.
W. I. LAWLER, Mayor.
