FRUIT TREES
A cold dusty norther that
blew into Brady this week
dropped the temperature to a
low of 25 degrees Wednesday-
night.
The freezing weather spell-
ed doom for a lot of early
blooming fruit trees, although
many have not blossomed out
yet.
It was worse last year. A
20-degree cold wave hit on
March 21 and caught almost
all fruit trees in full bloom.
Placing second was Paula Myers,
1(5, sophomore and daughter of
Mrs. Frances Hayes. She sang
"Rock ’n Roll Waltz."
