87, Buried at Del Rio
George L. Grimes, 87, a former
resident of Melvin, but who had
been living at Del Rio for the past
26 ycartj, died there Monday and
was buried Tuesday in the Del Rio
Cemetery. He was the father of
............the Rev! C. L. Grimes, pastor of

Mr. Grimes, an old trail driver
in his youth, was a native of La-
vaca County, coming to McCulloch
County and settling at Melvin in
1925. He resided there until he
moved to Del Rio. In had health tho
last five years, Mr. Grimes had
been seriously ill the past two
weeks.
Survivors include his wife and
five children, .1. W. Grimes of
Houston. Mrs. Clara McGonagill of
Del Rio, the Rev. Mr. -Grimes of
Brady, Arthur Grimes of Del Rio,
and Clay Grimes of Midland.

day at Medical and Surgical

The Rev. Raymond S. Miller,
O.M.I., acting pastor of St. Pat-
rick's Catholic Church, will conduct
the funeral at 4 p. m. Friday at
Guadalupe Catholic Church. Wil-
kerson Funeral Home will direct
burial in Brady Cemetery.
