Time was when a pickup truck was a pretty stark
affair. Not much to look at. No fun to drive — “rides
like a truck” described it perfectly.
GMC proved that a pickup can he a pretty rugged,
versatile vehicle. A reflfVough-and-ready hauler. But
with real comfort and not had to look at, either!
Moving with the times, GMC pickups evolved into
many different roles. Today, pickups are second
cars — working trucks earning their keep day after
* day, while doing double-duty as weekend, or family
vacation fun vehicles.
Ju»t looking at that rainbow of GMC colors - inside
and out makes it hard to remember when a pickup
wa« just a truck. A few minutes behind the wheel,
relaxed in that'foam-filled, glove-soft vinyl luxury,
tells you that no truck ever had it so good. If it sounds
like WC tfre trying to tell you something, you’re right.
