WHAT THE COZY OFFERS FOR
THIS WEEK
Wednesday and Thursday nights
the Cozy will show an “All Star” cast
in one of the big screen plays, en-
titled: “America.” While the press
review is unobtainable at this writ-
ing, the report is current that “Am-
erica” has met with the approbation
of crowded houses in the large cities
where it was first offered, and that
the critics have given it much favor-
able comment. The cast is especially
a*iaated»-the various roles demanding
the best possible talent obtainable.
Another Universal Jewel produc-
tion, “Butterflies in the Rain” is
booked to be presented on Friday
night. Laura LaPlante and James
Kirkwood lead the players, in a dra-
ma which portrays the story of a
twentieth century girl who tried her
best to stock society. Intrigue is em-
bodied in this play, and thrills abound
to the extent of making it a drama of
much merit. The play is taken from
the novel by Andrew Soutar.
Belasko’s “Kiki”—written by An-
dre Picard—will be shown at the
Cozy Saturday night. In this great
play Norma Talmadge reveals her-
self in a new light, that of a come-
dienne, and with Ronald Coleman
playing opposite, the two give the
fans a picture that will be commend-
ed by all. There is a note of sadness
and a note of gladness in little Kiki
who came from somewhere to be
loved and learn to do the same loving.
It’s the kickiest picture offered to the
public for some time.
Again, after rhany days of absence,
little Mary Pickford, the American
sweetheart of the screen, comes back
to LaGrange, to be seen next Sunday
and Monday in one of the most ap-
. pealing and heart interest stories of
her career, “Little Annie Rooney.”
"This is a story of the New York tene-
' ment district, and as “little Annie
Rooney”—with the kiddies and waifs
of the city, Mary appears to be so
real and true to life’s vignettes that
she holds her audiences until the
smile of the last scene is shown.
FLOATSAM AND JETSAM
Mrs. A. Ploss and sons, Richard,
Alvin and Moritz, and Mrs. Jas^
Driver of Houston were here last
Saturday to attend the funeral of
Mrs. Augusta Ploss, whose remains
were interred at the Swiss Alp ceme-
tery.
Dr. and Mrs. Geo. Shtdczyk of Port
Arthur arrived here Saturday after-
noon to spend a few days with their
relatives. ,
Rev. and Mrs. H. C. Ziehe of Rosen-
berg came up Sunday, the Rev. Mr.
Ziehe to preach the English sermon
at the St. Paul Lutheran church.
Masterful, heart appealinfi, and edify-
ing, taking the story of the calvary
cross and the voice of the Savior who
said: “John, behold thy mother.”
His sermon was a tribute to mother,
a week earlier than Mother’s Day,
but because of the absence of the pas-
tor next Sunday, in attendance upon
the Synodical contention at Freder-
ecksburg.

it the Best and
Reliable Service For My Car?
• % * ' /:
Without exception, the most logical place to have your car re-
paired is by the dealer from whom you purchased it, or by the au-
thorized dealer in your territory who sells the particular make of
car you are driving.
WHY?—Simply because he knows thjst in order to keep you sold
and satisfied with your car, it is highly important to see that your
car runs properly. And proper running depends entirely on proper
servicing, and this in turn depends on a modern and completely
equipped repair shop manned by efficient mechanics. And by the
way—for your benefit we have just recently installed in our shop
some of the most modern machinery and equipment obtainable.
It is this type of service our customers get when they bring their
cars to our Authorized Ford Service Station for repairs. And we
believe you will find that every reliable car dealer is better pre-
pared to give you the kind of dependable service you have a right to
expect. He is more interested in your car and understands it more
thoroughly than any one else. It is for this reason that we say when
your car needs repairing:
If you drive a Buick, take it to an Authorized Buick Service Station.
If you drive a Studebaker, take it to an Authorized Studebaker Service Station.
If you drive a Dodge, take it to an Authorized Dodge Service Station.
If you drive a Star, take it to an Authorized Star Service Station.
If you drive a Chevrolet, take it to an Authorized Chevrolet Service Station.
If you drive an Overland, take it to an Authorized Overland Service Station.
If you drive a FORD, by all means take it to an AUTHORIZED FORD SERVICE
STATION. It will be cheaper in the end.
If you will do this, we believe you will be better satisfied, not only with your ser-
vice, but with the every-day performance of your car, and after all this is what you are
most interested in.
J All of our work is ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED, and you
) will always find our prices reasonable and our mechanics COUR-
TEOUS and ANXIOUS to serve you.
