THE SHAPE OF YOUR HAND
One morning a mother fixed
her young son a lunch of five
loaves and two fish and sent
him to hear Jesus preach.
The boy found a great crowd
listening to Jesus. He sat down
to watch and to listen. He was
so interested that he forgot to
eat his lunch.
That evening he saw the dis-
ciples around Jesus. Edging
over nearer them, he heard Jesus
tell His disciples to give the
people something to eat.
Suddenly, a man knelt down
and put his hand on the little
boy’s shoulder. The man was
one of Jesus’ disciples, Andrew.
“Son, what do you have in
your hand?”
“My lunch,” the boy replied.
The fad was holding his lunch
In his hand. It fitted his hand
exactly.
Andrew said, “Son, all these
people are hungry. The Master
wants your lunch to feed these
people. Do you believe that He
can feed this whole crowd with
your small lunch?”
The little boy had great faith.
He looked up at Andrew and
said, “Yes, Sir, Jesus can do it!
I know He can!”
And Jesus did it! Nobody
knows how, but He did. What
a story the little fellow had to
tell his mother when he got
home.
The size of the little boy’s
hand was the perfect size to
hold five loaves and two fish.
While he held these five small
loaves and two fish in his hand,
they were the perfect size to
satisfy his hunger. But when he
put the lunch in the hands of
Jesus, it was big enough to feed
five thousand people.
And this is why you can have
hope of accomplishing some-
thing beyond the ordinary. The
secret is in Jesus’ multiplying
your life, your faith, your efforts
and your vision.
There are millions of people
in the world today. Every single
individual
one of them has an
and distinctive set of finger-
prints and has differently shaped
nands. If Cod made s our hands
and fingerprints different, then
you may be sure you are some-
thing special. He breathed into
your nostrils the breath of life,
and you became a living soul.
You are raised up of God.
The shape of your hand is the
shape of Cod’s plan for you.
Man is Cod’s instrument. Cod’s
