At the time the bank opened,

1983, the bank was sold to
East-Tcx BanCorp., a Holding

The bank operated for several
years under its ownership and
management.
In July 1987, a local group
made the decision to apply for
a change of control with the
Federal Deposit ^Insurance
Corp. (FD1C) and State Bank-
ing Department, which would
allow the group to purchase the
bank from the holding
company.
Immediately following ap-
proval and the change of con-
trol, the group set out to ex-
pand the bank’s base a$ a loc-
ally owned and operated
institution. In July 1989, a
branch location opened on
Garth Road in Baytown. Soon
after the branch opening, the
new owners and management
of the bank announced a name

If I bought an entire page
of The Baytown Sun, it would
not be enough room to ex-
press my feelings and con-
cern for every soldier in Saudi
Arabia, and equally impor-
tant the concerfi for each
soldier's family and loved
ones.
During the year, in the
rush of events, we
tend to overlook the
important friendships
that are the true
basis of business rela
tionships. This is one event,
that I definitely would like to
take time out from the hustle
and bustle to recognize and
exchange cordial greetings
with those whose friendship
and goodwill we value so
highly. Also, we would like
to extend our concern and
respect for families
Sign Of The Times
who are faced with the day-
to-day waiting for their loved
ones to return home.
We have something new
we would like to share with
yob. We encourage you to
show your patriotism and
concern by wearing this 14 KT
patriotic heart. For the
special price of $15.
As an
extra otter, if you
have a .loved one
in the military
forces, bring in his
or her picture and
we will give you a FREE
chain to go with your patriotic
heart.
It is our pleasure to say
“Thank You" for your patron-
age and exfend our best
•wishes for the ones that are
protecting us and their loved
ones at home.
