Tomorrow, the 15th day of Decem-
ber, the 8. P. railroad will begin op-
eration of their own freight statins,
leaving the Missouri Pacific the only
mad occupying the old I. G. N. sta-
tion which since RAH has been used
x as the unified freight station for
three railroads, however, all three
roads will continue for the present to
use the 8. P. passenger, it is offiriaHy
announced, and the switch engine will
lie operated Joinly by the Missouri >
Pacific and Santa Fe. The 8. P. has
announced that O. L. Foster will be
the freight agent for that road at
Navasota.
Definite announcement that two of
the roads will continue the operation •
of switch engine here is received glad-
ly iky the public in general. The , 8. ,
P. will do their own switching, but it " x
is thought they can satisfactorily han-
die their switching because of the
number of locamotives which the op- '
erate in and out of thia place.
It ia also gratifying to know
most of the employees of the nn
tion will remain with the dlff
roads and that Mr. Foster ;has re-
