(Outside the City Limits of Ralls, Lorenzo, and Crosbyton)
With a few exceptions,
our citizens have been very
responsible and displayed
great attitude during a Burn
Ban that has lasted for too
long, caused by the worst
drought most of us have ever
endured.
Rubbish and other com-
bustables have piled up and
folks need to burn. The Com-
missioners and I know this.
The good news is that you
can burn in most instances.
Rural household trash
should be placed in a metal
drum or something similar
with water available (water
hose is okay). You do not
need to ask permission, but
must remain on scene wuntil
the fire is completely out and
do not burn on a windy day.
DO NOT BURN RUB-
BER!!
Small Pit fires do not re-
quire permission under most
conditions. Adequate water
supply must be available to
extinguish the fire. (Water
trailer okay), a large clear
least one person must be on
scene until the fire is com-
pletely extinguished.
LARGE PIT FIRES

proposed burn does not fit

tunity to take and receive the

“This area sits at a cross-
roads of opportunity for die-

states. “Agricultural ma-
chinery, the Ports to Plains
