DEPARTMENT
For the week ending September
19, 1998, the East Tawakoni Fire
Department responded to the fol-
lowing calls:

9-18: mutual aid to grass fire in
Point on FM 1515

Pearl Wilson was a visitor in the
office recently to renew her sub-
scription to the Rains County
Leader.

Ruth Abercrombie dropped by
the Leader office to renew her sub-
scription to the Rains County
Leader.
plans to get a new wheelchair with
a motor on it. I think she has been
using Mrs. Hennen’s old chair.
We really missed those people
who were absent from church
Sunday morning and Sunday night.
Come be with us when you can. We
were happy to have Hope and
Pearl ie Garrett visit us at Elm
Sunday.
The grass is really growing, and
the turnips have come up in our gar-
den, all three pounds. 1 hope they
make as well as Lester Thompson’s
did when he planted acres.

Shepherd.
I was sorry to hear about James
Ratliff, Randy Traylor and Bob
Hunton all having accidents. Randy
got kicked by a horse and has some
broken ribs. James spent one night
in a Sulphur Springs hospital after
having an accident. Bob Hunton
was hurt on the job. He was back at
church Sunday night.
Robert and Irma Spinks visited
Woodrow Asbill and James Ratliff
Sunday afternoon.
We saw Romie Hennen and
Thurman Cooke riding around town
with Ivan Alexander Saturday, but
Romie isn’t doing very well.
Opal Faye and Charles Morgan
visited us and Lorene and Romie
Hennen Sunday afternoon. Lorene

9-14: Report of missing person
on Hwy 276. Missing person later
found okay
9-15: Report of men shooting
from bed of truck. Guns, doves,
and shells confiscated to tum over
to Game Warden Dugan. One man
arrested for possession of mari-
juana, under 2 ounces.
9-16: Missing person reported on
CR 2946.
9-16: Report of a dispute taken
at Rains I. S. D.
9-17: Assault report taken at
Rains 1. S. D.
°-18: Aggravated assault caus-
ing serious bodily injury reported
on Hwy. 69 at Hwy. 19 One per-
son arrested.
9-19: Report of assault causing
serious bodily injury on Quitman.
One person arrested.
9-20: Assault, Class C, assault by
threat Report taken on Hwy. 69 at
Hwy. 19.
9-20: Report of criminal mischief
taken at 421 W Lennon Drive.
9-20: Report of assault. Incident
under investigation.
9-20: Report of criminal trespass

leased.

under 2 ounces, $1,000 bond.
Hunting migratory birds from pub-
lic road, $146.25 fine. Hunting
migratory birds with unplugged
shotgun, $146.25 fine. Hunting
