came to stay with me New
Years Day until Denise can
sell their house and move
back to East Texas. He is the
new head softball coach in
Beckville.
Winston Whiddon got a
call from Wes Wisener
Monday night. His mother,
Joann Wisener had passed
away. You will remember
she and her husband, Bo
Wisener, were both profes-
sors at Panola College sev-
eral years ago. They retired
and moved to Nacogdoches.
Wisener passed away sever-
al years ago. Joann was a
wonderful lady. Her chil-
dren and mine grew up to-
gether. They had three
boys, Wes, Stan and Brad.
Brad and Gary Payne are
best friends. Her service
will be Saturday at 10 a,m.
in Nacogdoches.
Hope to go to see Aunt
Beckie Coats Friday, Jan. 11
for her 92 birthday party.
There are lots of sick peo-
ple with the flu. The weath-
er has been really bad but
we needed the rain.
Winston and I went to the
lake Saturday to check on
things at our lake house.
There were lots of leaves
and limbs on the ground.
The lake is in good shape
and pretty clear. We didn’t
try to fish but we wanted
to.
The Sr. MYF of the Dead-
wood Methodist Church
will be having a Souper
Bowl luncheon on Super
Bowl Sunday. Come enjoy
some great soups with us.
