Mabank Man
Dies In Crash
WHITTON-Two
Mabank residents met
in a fatal collision last
Sunday morning on
Farm-to-Market 47.
Jamie Daniel Logan,
40, was southbound on
a 1982 Honda G 51 mo-
torcycle when he en-
tered a curve at about
9:13 a.m.
Department of Public
Safety Trooper Landon
Corbett said the curve
was just north of Van
Zandt County Road
2430.
When the motorcycle
entered the curve it
crossed into the north-
bound lane and collided
with a 2011 Toyota Si-
enna van, Corbett said.
Mabank resident Bar-
bara Ann Glosup was
driving the van and was
uninjured, Corbett said.
Logan was trans-
ported to East Texas
Medical Center in Ath-
ens where Precinct 4
Justice of the Peace
Kelly Harris pro-
nounced the death at
10:51 a.m.
The body was sent to
the Southwest Texas
Forensic Institute in
Dallas for an autopsy.
Corbett said the con-
tributing factor to the
accident was that Logan
was driving on the
wrong side of the road-
way in a no passing
zone.
The crash is still un-
der investigation.
